Clones in Malaysia.
Do you mean humans clones? No, of course not human clones, I mean OEM’s in the gadget world.
OEM gadgets are those gadgets that you find been sold in the asian market without specific brand names, they might be branded inside, as in the chipset that powers them, but they are made in small factories for the asian market.
I am not sure whether they are in the export market. But they are quiet cheap and well featured.Asians are innovative.
There are some gadgets you find in the dubai market which are quiet cheap. Actually some people prefer to call them fakes, but they are clones of their original and in such cases most have the real brand names, which is illegal. The quality is bad, compare to their originals. But hey they are affordable and have the same features.
So generally we do have two type of clones. Clones without brands and clones with brands. The ones without brands are called OEM. The ones with brands are known as fake or should I say pirated? Well whatever it might be called. They are very cheap. Thier Lifespan is about 2 years. Which is considerably ok, considering their price tags.
I would be doing a lot of reviews and featuring of OEM gadgets in the malaysian market from next week, maybe even have its own dedicated blog. But I would start here to see the kind of traffic it can generate, before migrating.
