The Birth of the Web

Picture a world without Google, without eBay or Amazon or broadband, where few people have even heard of IPOs. That was reality just a decade ago. The company that changed it—bringing us into the Internet age—was a brilliant flash in the pan called Netscape. For the tenth anniversary of its IPO, FORTUNE recruited dozens of players to tell the story of the startup in their own words. [Futher Reading...]

A new dimension to business implementation.

Yes to get people to share ideas would be really wonderful. Using the opensource approach to achieve business ideas, is really a new dimension of business. The title was, Can The Business Blogosphere Build and Run a Real Business? . The post went on to explain how the authour plans to achieve a system of implementing a business idea contributed by a member of a system using a democratic process of voting, and dropping based on contributed ideas of choice by the members. This is what he is planning to develop and well i must confess that the concept is beautiful, but then again there is a question that is still yet unanswered.

If I am a contributing member of such a system. How secure is my ideas, especially if it is an idea, i totally believe in, safe from exposure and replication outside the system, especially if its voted out during the process?

Well its a worth read,

Can The Business Blogosphere Build and Run a Real Business?

Do you ever have an idea that drives you crazy? Ever since I read “Wisdom of Crowds” a while back I keep wondering if it’s true. I think about it all the time. A few months ago, I decided there was no reason not to test it. So I’ve built a new site called The Business Experiment

where I propose we do just that.

Yes, you heard correctly. Business bloggers and readers will test their cumulative business knowledge by collectively starting and running a business – out in the open.

Can we do it? I don’t know. It seems crazy, and counterintuitive to everything that we think about business, but that is why I want to do it.

How will it work?

Google is at it Again!!

google toolbar

Search giant Google has started offering its browser toolbar for Firefox, in addition to new Web-to-SMS and automatic search term completion extensions.[For Futher Reading...>>]

Browser plugins now? haha. Thats google for you. I said in my previous postings in relation to google’s diversities. That they are really making sure, that they reach the point, whereby all online activities would have a “Google touch”. When you think about the internet, its Google that comes first. Well it is worth noting that there are is still yet only one area that google is yet to explore. That area is the online payment processor, and google is planning to launch an e-purse soon, to compete with paypal.

You might say that they have not explored into the online shopping arena, probably a replica of amazon right? But well, they actually do have an online store called Google Store , where they sell sourveneirs (Accessories, Fun, Kids, Office, Wearables, Software), besides the “Gooogle Mini“. What that store just needs currently, is a little bit of expansion the “google way”. And surely it would become a standard online store. I guess there are not intrested in that now.

But lets keep on watching, we might be in for a suprise.

Paypal enters China.

Well i think, it is really interesting, the way paypal is expanding its market. Yesterday Paypal China launced its website https://www.paypal.com/cn/. It is a nice website, a perfect replica of the main site, but everything looks gibberish to me (it is in chinese !!). Well would it be more difficult for Google to launch its e-purse now?

This mainly i ask because China is a big potential Market, and once you penetrate and have a good trusted standing there, its really hard for any future competitor to compete in that same market (people easily get used to a service, and find it hard to change to a new one). Besides that Ebay China, would have lots of customers, in terms of people coming to bid from all over the world especially those that have paypal accounts, using paypal accounts to pay for their biddings, is just the best solution to avoid losing your money to fraudulent products displayed on Ebay. And China does have a good variety of products, and we shouldnt forget their cheap price tags. Well lets fold our arms and see, what the future has installed, in terms of payment solutions. My message to Paypal is:, Please do not forget the malaysian market, we really want to use our Malaysian bank accounts.

My message to Google is : We all are waiting to see what you have in mind, because, anything that doesnt come better than paypal, would just be too dissapointing.

Men & work?

Well i happen to be regular at Nairaland, and i replied recently to a very interesting topic and it was titled “Men & work”. Today i was contemplating on what to blog about and so i ended up deciding to share that part of my entry here.

The beginning entry was

Is it fitting for a man to work a job for the rest of his natural life? Or should he evolve to self employment at some point in his life?

My Contribution in summary was

Well as many said, depends on one’s individual vision in life. Self-Employment is not easy, besides when you get sick, who would do the work? and there is no income from that. Maybe a Business Man. Mind you there is a difference between a self-employed person and a business man, from what i understand. A Self-Employed person is someone earning one’s livelihood directly from one’s own trade. He works for himself, and earns from his work.

While a businessman owns a business and does not necessarily have to “work in it”, he might have sales-people, managers, workers that work on his behalf in the business.

I think being self-employed or even a business man does not justify that you have the pre-requisite to becoming a millionaire.

So Work or JOb? Well we have different interest, some people love to work, and can’t risk working for themselves, or starting their own business. While others can’t just work. So its left for the person to choose. We need all the three in the economy of any country, to keep the system in working mode. We need the workers, the self employed and also the business man and the investor. So i dont think its proper to be discriminating against workers nor even self employees.

Now is it fitting for a man to work for the rest of his life? I would say yes, because if thats what he loves and the part he feels more secure in, who are we to say its the wrong path? As i said before, it depends on individuals interest and vision in life

Arabians or Muslims, who are the terrorist?

TERORISMterror2

33 killed in London terror attacks

At least 33 people have been killed and scores wounded after four bombs exploded in London’s transport system today, British police said. “We were all trapped like sardines waiting to die,” said subway bombing witness Angelo Power. “I honestly thought I was going to die, as did everyone else.” [For futher reading >>]

What i cant understand and would never understand is why people are so barbaric. Is it in the name of religion as in “Islam” which normally is what this terrorist always claim to be the main reason for their cause?, although the religion itself does not support terrorism, or is it in the name of their selfish interest, as in terms of those barbaric Arabian individuals, that just think that by planting bombs arround the world, they could bring peace to the Arabian world?.

All i can tell is Al-Qaeda or whatever they call it is an Arabian terrorist organization, and has no link with “Islam”. Well security in America and the United Kingdom should be more tighter. But is this really the solution to avoid future re-occurencies?. I hope nobody has a family member that is a caualty of such a barbaric attack. And to all that happen to be, my condolences.Humans indeed are beasts.

Adventures In God!!

Adventures In God, yes thats what Rev. Oluyomi Adedayo Adegboye, an ordained minister of God began with, in what i would call a new revolution to blogging.

Adventures In God is a blog, mainly tackling issues pertaining to the “new verison of christianity” we have today. This is what he said and i quote that this blog features

my(his) insight into Christianity in a breezy digest for the public good. I hope it helps to shine some light in the dark madness and confusion that prevails in today’s world and in today’s Church.

He didnt end just right there but went far deep inside into the realms of unquestionable questions in the churches today. He answers the questions people dared to ask in Churches. This is what we need, and this is what we should be reading, and trust me, his entries are worth reading, though i am a Muslim, but then i really find it interesting.

So christians out there head straight for Adventures In God for the bible says and i quote

Jhn 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The world of cars

Hum i love cars especially convertibles. My favourite car is the Ferrari Enzo, dont ask me why, because the reason is obvious. Its a ferrari (yes it is prestigious), fast (with a top Speed of 217.5 mph / 350.0 kph), with a power of 492.2 kw / 660.0 bhp at 7800 rpm and not forgetting to mention the unbelievable Torque of 657.0 Nm / 484.6 ft lbs at 5500 rpm (dem), and unique (only for special people like me ).

And please dont tell me your uncle or your dad has one, because only specially selected ferrari customers can purchase it and even you cant keep the car in your garage ( it is maintained by Ferrari and available for the client’s use on various circuits as arranged by Ferrari and also during private track sessions. The car is not expected to be street-legal or suitable for road use.), besides the price tag (a whopping $670 000 USD) , and that means you are either related to Michael Schumacher, Bernd Pischetsrieder, Frits Kroymans, Eric Clapton, Jay Kay, Nick Mason, or Pharrell Williams. heheh are you? ;) i doubt it :)

Well thats enzo for you. Well i do have one and its located in dreamland, fantasy avenue. heheheh.

Was checking the AutoZine Awards 2005. And guess what was the worst car of the year? I am sure you never heared of it, especially if you are not located in south-east asian region.
