The cold that ruined my day

I woke up yesterday morning to be welcomed by the usual, what I call “the morning flu”, well the usual morning flu that lasts till I step out of the shower. The bad news was, this specific one was here to stay for a while at least, considering i am still hanging out with a box of tissue.

Yesterday night was a nightmare too, I had a nasty headache, thanks to my phone rigging and my little brother bulging into my room to ask me some silly questions. Anyway I am getting better now, after literally overdosing myself with a lot of fluids.

My day today is ruined because I can’t do anything productive with a running nose and a disoriented self, I hardly can even think.

Google locked me out of my email box.

I cant read my mails at Googlemail, because apparently Google decided that I have been using my email account “unusually”, whatever that means. So if you email me using my Google mail address, please do note that I wont be able to reply you in or rather within 24 hours, thanks to Google.

Blood Diamonds.

blooddiamond.jpgBlood diamonds, yes that movie is off the hook, and does deserve an award. I watched it today with a friend at the cinema. This movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, does send a morality check trigger to anybody that loves diamonds, or possesses one, or even believes that it could symbolize “love” or “bondage”.

In the movie Blood Diamonds:

Leonardo DiCaprio as a South African mercenary who’s jailed for smuggling, highlights the illegal “conflict diamond” trade during civil wars in Sierra Leone and Angola in the late 1990s.

The stones also funded armed conflicts in Angola, Liberia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Questions like, How do we for instance, differentiate between conflict diamonds and non-conflict diamonds? Is it alright for us to wear or posses diamonds that have questionable root sources? , crops into the mind of the viewer.
Ethically I for one, think that humans should boycott the buying of diamonds, considering the reality that surrounds it. I am saying this, even with the consideration that there are sources that say 99.8% of diamonds are from non-conflict zones. The authenticity of that statistical source is questionable considering it comes from the representative of the cartels.

I think, there are other gems that could symbolize love, bondage, or even madness, such as gold, for example? or perhaps the classical pearl. They are precious gems too, aren’t they?

munichda vinci

Well yeah and also I am busy still with projects, although I dedicate some quality time for myself. I miss the internet and blogging this week.

A busy weekend.

I am working on a download section for the e-books I currently have in my computer. So by Monday there should be an e-book download section on this blog, with lots of e-books, for educational purposes only.

I have a problem as in regards to my software stashing in my hard disk. I am in search of a program that would allow me to keep software in an archive form on a computer with description features etc, I wouldnt mind a server based software, any ideas?

I have cold currently, and the worse thing is I sleep under the air-conditioner, so it is sort of getting worse.

I am currently developing a portal with my co-partner and it has been taking a lot of my time, besides I am lazy at replying e-mails, so please bear with me, If I have not replied your e-mail, I would try to do that today. Please Forgive me.

Are you suffering from Internet addiction disorder?

internet addict
I “think”, I am suffering from Internet addiction disorder, or maybe I just feel that way because I happen to spend atleast 6 hours a day on the net.

What “Internet addiction disorder” (IAD) is still difficult to define based on what I have read from various articles of relation.

Much of the researches are based upon the weakest type of research methodology, namely exploratory surveys with no clear hypothesis or rationale backing them. Nevertheless, coming from an atheoretical approach has some benefits, but also it is not typically recognized as being a strong way to approach a new disorder.

Some articles have expanded beyound the original surveys approaches and tackled it objectively.

Just turned 22

I just turned 22years old, and as they say, age is just a number, but is it really is?

But as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, says…..

A man’s age is something impressive, it sums up his life: maturity reached slowly and against many obstacles, illnesses cured, griefs and despairs overcome, and unconscious risks taken; maturity formed through so many desires, hopes, regrets, forgotten things, loves. A man’s age represents a fine cargo of experiences and memories. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Wartime Writings 1939-1944

Well so it is.

Self Interview. Meet Kayode Muyibi.

I now have an About Me page, that covers everything..

A bold step in my life.

From today on, I have decided to take a bold step in my life, which would make some people hate me and some to like me. Whatever that might be and so be it.

The steps are :-

1. I would no longer participate in any forum discussions, I might use it only for advertisement proposes if allowed.
2. I would wipe all my messenger list and keep only those that are beneficial to me or appreciate me in one way or the other.
3. I would no longer accomodate useless aquaintances on the net.
4. I would no longer interfere on issues because I care. I have learnt that to be “NICE” is not what is needed in this world. Besides I was told that, it means “Not interestingly caring enough”.

If I happen to ignore you on any messenger, please take it with good heart, its for my and your own good.

I guess I have studied people enough, and its time to apply this necessary steps. To all out there that I have offended in one way or the other during conversations either on phone or via messenger, please forgive me, I am a sinner, I make mistakes and it wont happen again.

For now I remain the part of the past of some peoples life and the present of some peoples life.

I was on a voyage, looking for just a friend, and I hardly got three.
